1. Scope
These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of products and services offered by The Modern Invite through themoderninvite.com.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Sale.
2. Business information
The Modern Invite is an independent business operated from France.

3. Products and Services
The Modern Invite offers digital wedding invitation solutions, including but not limited to:
- Customized template-based invitations
- Fully bespoke invitation designs
- Optional add-ons and premium features
- Access to a client area for content submission and RSVP management
All products are delivered digitally only. No physical goods are shipped.
4. Ordering process
To place an order, the customer submits the required initial information, selects the desired offer, and completes payment through the available checkout process.
Production begins only after:
- full payment has been received, and
- all required content and information have been submitted
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order involving abusive behavior, unlawful content, non-cooperation, fraud suspicion, or requests outside the project scope.
5. Prices and currency
Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website or checkout page, including but not limited to EUR or USD.
Applicable taxes, if legally required in the future, may be added where necessary.
The final amount charged is the amount displayed at checkout at the time of payment.
6. Payment terms
Payment is processed securely via third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
Full payment is required before any design, customization, or production work begins.
No installment payments are offered unless explicitly stated.
7. Delivery
Delivery is made digitally by email and/or through the customer account area.
Standard delivery timeframe is within 72 business hours after receipt of:
- full payment
- all required text, images, and event details
Delivery times are estimates and may be reasonably extended in cases of force majeure, technical issues, or delayed customer responses.
8. Customer responsibilities
The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of all submitted content, including but not limited to:
- names
- dates
- schedules
- written text
- uploaded images
- music or media rights
- any other provided materials
The customer must carefully review all submitted information before final approval.
The Modern Invite is not responsible for errors originating from customer-submitted content.
9. Revisions and modifications
Included revisions are limited to the number specified in the purchased offer.
Current standard limits:
- Template customization: up to 2 revision rounds
- Bespoke design: up to 4 revision rounds
Additional revisions, extra requests, or changes outside the agreed scope may be charged separately.
A substantial change of direction or new creative brief may require a new quote and a separate order.
10. Customer inactivity
If the customer fails to provide required information or stops responding:
- the order may be placed on hold after 30 days of inactivity
- reminder emails may be sent
- the project may be closed after 90 days of inactivity
Closed projects are non-refundable. Reopening a project may require additional fees.
11. Refund policy
Due to the digital and personalized nature of the products and services sold:
Digital Products / Customized Templates
Orders are non-refundable once access has been granted, files delivered, or production work has started.
Bespoke Design Services
Orders are non-refundable once creative work, design research, or production has begun.
Technical Issues
If a technical issue prevents normal access or use of the delivered product, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue or provide an appropriate solution.
Nothing in this section affects any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
12. Intellectual property and licence
All designs, templates, visuals, layouts, branding elements, and creative materials remain the intellectual property of The Modern Invite unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Customers receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.
The following are strictly prohibited without prior written permission:
- resale
- redistribution
- commercial reuse
- copying templates for resale
- sublicensing
- unauthorized reproduction
13. Support
Customer support is provided by email only.
Response times are generally within 72 business hours, excluding weekends, holidays, and exceptional peak periods.
No instant or real-time support is guaranteed.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Modern Invite shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services, products, or website.
Total liability, where legally applicable, shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant order.
15. Governing law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of France, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
